Apartment Description
A new era of living has begun in Hartford, and Spectra Plaza is at its very center. Once Hartford's grandest hotel, associated for decades with innovative design and celebrity style, this extraordinary new residential building will redefine a new... tradition in urban living.
Moved in August 6 and the problems started immediately. The washer was broken on day one. They replaced it, then left the shipping bolts installed so the replacement shook violently. The oven has had a broken hinge, the refrigerator has had a persistent musty odor since move-in, the blinds were broken, and the garage EV charger I relied on has never worked.
Maintenance requests have been marked “completed” while problems were still unresolved. Messages went unanswered. I moved furniture away from the windows because maintenance told me they would return Monday to replace the blinds; nobody came or contacted me. When management later asked whether maintenance could enter while I was at work, I said Thursday would work instead. They entered and did the work that day anyway.
The new property manager has at least been responsive, but residents should not have to fight this hard for basic functioning appliances, fixtures, communication, and respect for their home. I would not recommend living here.
